You’ve had the opportunity to be in the opera chorus – now is your chance to play a role! Named after the Philharmonic Society’s own Madge Chamberlin, Madge’s Opera Scenes gives you the chance to perform as an ensemble singing some of opera’s best loved duets, trios, and quartets. Rehearsals will take place as a workshop format with participants studying all scenes regardless of their part allocations.

Workshop rehearsals will be Monday evenings, commencing Monday 16th May 2022 at 7pm, with a performance on Sunday July 10th, 2022, in the Toowoomba Philharmonic Concert Hall.
To help the Society cover costs, there is a small $35 participation fee due at the first rehearsal (EFTPOS will be available). Current financial members of Toowoomba Philharmonic Society will be able to participate for free, however are still requested to fill out the form below.
No audition is required, however a link to a short video of you singing would be appreciated to better place you within the group.
After applications close and parts are finalised, participants will be emailed their parts. The expectation is for participants to have reviewed these before the first rehearsal. Please also note the expectation is for your scenes to be learnt from memory by July.
